Accessibility Statement

Features to enhance the accessibility of this website

These features have been provided to help make our site as accessible as to as broad an audience as possible.

  • All text should be resizable using your browser's text-resize option.
  • Semantic markup has been employed where possible, including the appropriate use of HTML heading elements to represent page structure, (which supports assistive technologies that allow page navigation from heading to heading)
  • Your own style-sheet may be applied to allow changes in the site's appearance without affecting the accessibility or readability of the underlying information in the page.
  • All images have been given appropriate alternative text.
  • On each page a navigation bar is provided which links to the main sections of the site.
  • The site has been tested to ensure that it is accessible and viewable in a wide range of old and new web-browsers
  • A 'skip to main content' link permits direct access to main page content, bypassing navigation bars - which should make navigation quicker if you are using the keyboard or other input device to browse the site.

Design

  • Cascading Style Sheets have been used to control the presentation of pages and properly structured markup has been used for content,
  • Relative font sizes are used, which allows users to resize text as needed
  • If stylesheets are not supported by your browser (or are turned off), all of the information on the site can still be accessed.
