Employment in Ireland is up by 3% in 2004. On average employment increased by 54,400 or 3.0% last year. This compares with average annual increases of 1.9%
in 2003, 1.8% in 2002 and 3.1% in 2001. The average number of males in employment in 2004 was 29,700 (+2.8%) higher than in the previous year while the
